General Instructions: 1. The post is Non-Government under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, which is an autonomous body and will be governed by New Pension Scheme 2004 introduced by Govt. of India with other service conditions mutatis-mutandis and as amended from time to time. 2. The post is temporary but likely to continue and transferable to anywhere in India in any of the Regional Station of CIAE/ICAR. 3. Maximum Age Limit: – 18-27 yrs. Upper age limit relaxation upto 5 years for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates, 3 years for Other backward class (OBC) candidate and 10 years for Physically Handicapped. The upper age is also relaxable up to 45 years in the case of serving regular employees of ICAR in the administrative(ministerial) category). 4. The Crucial date for determining the age limit is 1.1.2016. 5. Persons already in employment can send their advance copy but at the same time they have to ensure that through proper channel copy of his/her application forwarded by his office (complete in all respects)reaches Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering on or before due date failing which his/her candidature for the post(s) concerned would be rejected. 6. The prescribed qualifications are minimum and enhanced qualification do not entitle candidates to be called for written test. 8. No candidate will be admitted to the examination unless he/she holds certificate of admission from the Institute.
9. After the written examination, the candidates who obtain such minimum qualifying marks as may be fixed by the
Institute at their discretion shall be summoned for Skill Test.
10. The form and manner of communication of the result of the examination to individual candidates shall be decided
by the Institute at their discretion and the institute will not enter into correspondence with them regarding result.
11. Appointments will be made by the Institute initially on probation for a period of two years. The period of probation may be extended, if considered necessary.
12. A candidate must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient discharge of his duties as an officer of the service for candidate who after such medical examination, as may be prescribed by the competent authority is found not to satisfy these requirements will not be appointed.
Only such candidates as are likely to be considered for appointment will be medically examined.
13. Success at the examination confers no right to appointment, unless the Institute is satisfied, after such enquiry as may be considered necessary, that the candidate having regard to this character and antecedents is suitable in all
respects for appointment to the post.
14. The post is temporary but likely to continue and the candidate may be transferred to anywhere in India in ICAR
institutes/stations.
15. Candidates applying for the post will have to give a declaration stating whether he/she is related to any employee of the ICAR-VPKAS, Almora or other any Institue of ICAR and, if so, name the person and the nature of his/her relationship may be given.
16. The prescribed qualifications are minimum and an enhanced qualification does not entitle the candidate to be

Education Requirements: An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification(s) in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers.

Experience Requirements: A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college, and or experience in research at the University/National level institutions/industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.

Desirable Qualifications: A minimum consolidated score requirement of 400 points from Category III of the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based on the Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS). OR An outstanding professional, with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, to be substantiated by credentials.

The prescribed format of application appearing at Annexure-B and other required materials may be downloaded from Mizoram University (MZU) website, http://www.mzu.edu.in in A-4 size paper. The same may also be obtained from Administration-I, Mizoram University by paying ` 50.00. 2. The prescribed application fee is ` 500.00 (` 250.00 for SC/ST applicant on submission of supporting Certificate) payable in the form of Bank Draft. (a) The Bank Draft shall be drawn in favour of Registrar, Mizoram University on State Bank of India, Aizawl Main Branch; OR The prescribed fee may also be paid directly to the Finance Department, Mizoram University, Aizawl, during office hours. (b) Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) are fully exempted from payment of the prescribed fees upon submission of relevant Disability Certificate issued by the competent authority. (c) Women applicants are fully exempted from payment of the prescribed fees. 3. Candidates are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess at least the minimum essential qualifications and API scores, furnished with clarity, as laid down in the advertisement. 4. The University shall verify the antecedents or documents submitted by a candidate, at any time, at the time of appointment or during the tenure of service. Applications for the posts reserved for SC/ST and PwDs shall be supported by the Caste/Tribe/Medical certificate in a Govt. of India (GoI) prescribed format duly issued by the competent authority. Applicants for the reserved post of OBC are required to submit a certificate regarding his/her ‘OBC status and non-creamy layer status’ in a prescribed format duly issued on or after 21 st December, 2015 by the competent authority. Salary: PB-3, Rs. 15,600 – 39,100 + AGP Rs. 6,000

Education Requirements: First Class Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering (Engg.) & Technology (Tech).
